Jadallah Azzuz at-Talhi (Arabic: جاد الله عزوز الطلحي‎‎) is a Libyan diplomat and politician who served as prime minister of Libya for two terms.

Career

He was General Secretary of the People's Committee in Libya (Prime Minister) for two terms, the first term from 2 March 1979 to 16 February 1984 and the second term from September 1986 to 1 March 1987.[1] In March 1987 Umar Mustafa al-Muntasir succeeded him as prime minister.[2]

Talhi served as foreign minister of Libya in the late 1980s.[3] Then he was appointed minister for strategic industries at the beginning of the 2000s.[3]

Then he became the minister of foreign affairs in 1987, replacing Kamal Hassan Al Mansour as foreign minister.[4] Talhi's tenure lasted until 1990.

Talhi was Libya's UN ambassador and held a Security Council chair for the January 2008 – December 2009 term.[citation needed]
