Jerome J. Randle (born May 21, 1987) is an American-born naturalized Ukrainian professional basketball player who currently plays for the Adelaide 36ers of the National Basketball League (NBL).

College career

After a standout career at Hales Franciscan High School in Chicago, Randle committed to the University of California, Berkeley. Randle was a three-year starter at Cal, earning first team All-Pacific-10 Conference in both his junior and senior years. He was also named Pac-10 Player of the Year as a senior, and was named an AP honorable mention All-American. He finished his career at Cal as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,835 career points. Randle also set school marks for three pointers with 252 made and free throw accuracy at 88.1% for his career.[1]

In addition to individual accolades, Randle guided the Bears to back to back NCAA tournament bids and, as a senior in 2010, led the program to its first regular-season Pac-10 championship since 1960.

Professional career

In 2010, Randle joined the Orlando Magic for the Orlando Summer League,[3] and the Washington Wizards for the Las Vegas Summer League.[4] He signed with Aliağa Petkim in July 2010.[5] In January 2011, he joined Türk Telekom B.K..[6]

In August 2011, he signed with Barak Netanya of Israel.[7] On December 14, 2011, Randle signed with Dallas Mavericks. He was assigned to the Texas Legends on December 21 for one game, being recalled on December 22. He was waived by the Mavericks that same day.[8] On December 27, he was re-acquired by the Texas Legends. The next day, he was traded to the Maine Red Claws.[8] In February 2012, he left the Red Claws and signed with BC Azovmash of Ukraine for the rest of the 2011–12 season.[9]

Randle joined the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2012 NBA Summer League. In September 2012, he signed with the Foshan Dralions of the Chinese Basketball Association.[10] He left before appearing in a game for them. On December 30, 2012, he signed with Spirou Charleroi.[11]

He joined the Los Angeles Clippers for the 2013 NBA Summer League. On August 29, 2013, Randle's rights were acquired by the Delaware 87ers in the 2013 NBA Development League Expansion Draft.[12]

In October 2013, Randle signed with his former team Aliağa Petkim of Turkey.[13] In January 2014, he left Aliağa and signed with Trabzonspor for the reminder of the season.[14] In August 2014, he re-signed with Trabzonspor.[15] On October 29, 2014, he parted ways with Trabzonspor.[16] On November 19, 2014, he was signed by Turkish team Eskişehir Basket.[17]

In July 2015, Randle joined the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2015 NBA Summer League.[18]

On October 21, 2015, he signed with the Australian National Basketball League team the Adelaide 36ers for the rest of the 2015–16 NBL season.[19] He made his debut for the 36ers the following day, scoring a game-high 24 points off the bench in an 88–79 win over the Cairns Taipans.[20] On November 7, he helped the 36ers claim the biggest comeback victory in the league's 40-minute game era, defeating the Sydney Kings 99–98. Randle scored 33 points, with 10 coming in the final term, including the match-winning free throws with 5.3 seconds left.[21]

Ukrainian national team

In 2015, Randle replaced Pooh Jeter on the Ukrainian national basketball team after obtaining a Ukrainian passport.[22]
