KMIX (100.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Regional Mexican format. Licensed to Tracy, California, USA, it serves the Stockton area. The station is currently owned by Entravision Communications.
History
For many years, the 100.9 frequency was a sister station to KWG. The station was known as KSRT (for Stereo Radio Tracy), KWGF, KYBB (B-101), KSGO (Stockton's Golden Oldies), and KEXX (Xtra 101). The format evolved as an Adult Contemporary station in the late 1980s, then into an Oldies position in the 1990s.
KEXX dropped 1970s oldies for country music in 1995, changing its letters to KMIX.[1]
