MTR CSR Sifang EMU

MTR CSR Sifang EMU is a train set purchase by MTR; this EMU will be used to run on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link. The train was manufactured by CSR Corporation Limited-Sifang.[1][2]

The nine 8-car trains will base on CRH380A high-speed EMU technology platform, to maintain its security, reliability, economy, comfort and other technical features, and further enhance the performance of collision, fire, electromagnetic compatibility.[3]

Technical features

  • Further improve on collision and fire resistance as well as electromagnetic compatibility and other properties.

  • Noise control: Using a variety of new noise absorption materials and noise barrier technology, EMU speed of 350 km/h inside noise keep in 67-69 db level.
  • The axle load still maintained at a level of 15 tonnes (14.8 long tons; 16.5 short tons).

  • ergonomic passenger interface

Classes

Train will have Standard Class, Business Class and VIP Class.[4]
