Mandeep R. Mehra (born December 3, 1964 in Delhi) is a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and Medical Director of the Brigham Heart and Vascular Center in Boston, Massachusetts.[1] He specializes in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and cardiac transplantation.[2] He has served as President of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation[3] and is also President-Elect (Vice President) of the Heart Failure Society of America.[4] He has published more than 400 manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters in areas of immunosuppression, genomic medicine, cardiac transplant rejection, guidelines for listing patients for a heart transplant, and in mechanical circulatory support.[5] Additionally, Mehra is the current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.[6]
