Nanningosaurus is a genus of hadrosaurid dinosaur from the late Cretaceous of the Nalong Basin, Guangxi, China. It is based on an incomplete skeleton including skull, arm, and hip remains. Some of its diagnostic characteristics include relatively few tooth positions, a gracile upper arm, and an ischium that curves towards its expanded tip. Mo J. and coauthors, who described the specimen, performed a phylogenetic analysis that suggests Nanningosaurus was a basal lambeosaurine, or crested duckbill. This animal is the first hadrosaurid from southern China. The type species is N. dashiensis.[1]
