Nizhnedevitsky District (Russian: Нижнедевицкий райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,196 square kilometers (462 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Nizhnedevitsk.[1] Population: 20,611 (2010 Census);[3] 24,077 (2002 Census);[6] 29,577 (1989 Census).[7] The population of the administrative center accounts for 28.3% of the district's total population.[3]
