RAVULAPALEM is a town in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. This place has rich fertile soil favorable for crop cultivation. This place is famous for its "Banana Market" and it tops Andhra Pradesh. Ravulapalem is often known as "Gateway of Konaseema", rich with paddy fields and coconut trees.Due to its greenery many movies like Uyyala Jampala have been shot in Ravulapalem. Ravulapalem is also famous for "kunda Biryani" people from different areas will love this food. There are many famous schools like Don Bosco High School, which is very old one and famous one and this school operates worldwide, other schools such as Chaitanya techno, Ravindhra Bharathi, Sri Medha (old name Geethanjali Public School), Sri siddhartha english medium school, Sri satya sai college and other schools also available.[citation needed] The river godavari passes through Ravulapalem. The Gowthami river is full of People during Pushkaraalu, the Hindhus famous festival comes every 12 Years. There are small villages connected to the City Ravulapalem are Ravulapadu, Ryali, Ubalanka, Vedireswaram etc. The village is located between two Rivers of Gowthami and Godavari.

Governance

The town was upgraded from Gram panchayat to Nagar panchayat on 23 June 2011.[1]

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation operates bus services from Ravulapalem bus station. It operates from Ravulapalem to Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Tanuku, Eluru, Amalapuram and Razole. [2]
