In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the stone guardian is a type of construct.
Publication history
The stone guardian first appeared in the adventure module The Secret of Bone Hill (1981),[1] and then in the original first edition Monster Manual II (1983).[2]
The stone guardian appeared in second edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons for the Greyhawk setting under the "construct, stone" heading in the adventure module Greyhawk Ruins (1990),[3] and are reprinted under the "golem" heading in the Monstrous Manual (1993).[4]
Description
A stone guardian is a special type of golem-like figure, made of mud and given a heart of stone.
