Contents
Plot
In Santo Domingo the experienced seaman Jacques Cournot is asked for advice by a certain Mr Hendrix who wishes to purchase a sailing boat. Cournot recommends to buy the ship in question. Subsequently Mr Hendrix negotiates the price with Mrs Osborne, the owner of the "Dragoon". Little later, after corpses of murdered strangers are found on the beach, Cournot finds himself interrogated by police because Mr Hendrix and the "Dragoon" have disappeared while Mrs Osborne pretends to be unaware of any deal.
