The Utah Golden Spikers (Formely known as the Utah Pioneers) was an American soccer club based in Salt Lake City, Utah that was a member of the American Soccer League.
They were coached by former Olympiakos of Greece player, Nick Kambolis.
The team was renamed the Utah Golden Spikers halfway through their only season.
Year-by-year
After challenging the eventual ASL champion Los Angeles Skyhawksfor the Western Division title through most of the 1976 season, Utah faded late and finished 3rd. They lost in the playoff quarterfinals to the Tacoma Tides by a score of 2-1.
