Vijayavani (Kannada: ವಿಜಯವಾಣಿ) is a Kannada-language daily newspaper distributed in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is published by VRL Group owned by logistics tycoon Vijay Sankeshwar.
Having launched on 1 April 2011,[1] Vijayavani[2] started with merely three editions. Today it has editions in several places like Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Mysuru, Vijayapura, Gangavathi, Chitradurga, Shivamogga and Kalaburgi.
Vijayavani the flagship entity of the VRL Group is the largest circulated newspaper in Karnataka. Vijayavani created media frenzy by being the only Kannada newspaper to launch 9 editions in just 90 days from its 1st launch. Vijayavani is an all colour paper in all Karnataka. With growth rate of 262% in 3 years, Vijayavani today has a certified circulation of 8,03,738 copies.Vijayavani has an unmatched reach which covers 28 districts out of almost 30 districts in entire Karnataka.Apart from the regular content, a four-page
special supplement catering to various interests is circulated with the main edition every day. The supplements focus on a range of topics such as literature, astrology, lifestyle, movies, health, travel, education, etc.Given the pace of change in the way media is being consumed, Vijayavani has been quick to adapt to the need for news in the digital form by introducing Vijayavani epaper.[3] This also allows the ethnic Kannada audience to access their favorite newspaper anywhere across the globe, anytime!

About the Paper
Vijayavani was started by Anand Sankeshwar, a leading businessman in the logistics space and the owner of VRL Logistics Ltd. He has also been a newspaper baron. Since its launch, Vijayavani has been active in coming up with newer innovations and continues to exhilarate readers. It is the only daily in Karnataka with all colour pages, across all its editions, thus giving it an edge over others.
Vijayavani’s main issue of 16 pages comprises four pages covering local/hyperlocal issues, two pages each on national, state and sports, one calendar page for entertainment/events, one page dedicated to serials/stories and one page on commerce/business.
