These are the results of the women's 53 kg competition in weightlifting at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. A total of 8 women competed in this event, limited to weightlifters whose body weight was less than 53 kilograms.
Each weightlifter had three attempts for both the snatch and clean and jerk lifting methods. The total of the best successful lift of each method was used to determine the final rankings and medal winners. Competition took place on August 15 in the Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall.
