Georg Karck (11 June 1911 in Segeberg — 3 July 1944, in Normandy) was a Sturmbannführer (Major) in the Waffen-SS who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.

Karck joined the SS on 1 October 1931 (SS service number 17690). He was the commander of the 9th Company, 2nd SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment, 1st SS Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler when he was awarded the Knight's Cross.[1]

He subsequently commanded the 2nd Battalion, 2nd SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment LSSAH, and was killed in a road traffic accident in Normandy, France. At the time, he was driving at night with the vehicle lights off to avoid allied aircraft attack. He received posthumous promotion to SS-Sturmbannführer in the reserve in order to secure an improved widow's pension.[1]
