Edward Larned "Ned" McGehee III (April 9, 1907 – March 3, 1989), was the sixth head football coach for the Southeastern Louisiana University Lions.
Biography
Located in Hammond, Louisiana, McGehee held that position for five seasons, from 1946 until 1950. His coaching record at Southeastern Louisiana was 25 wins, 20 losses, and 3 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him fifth at Southeastern Louisiana in total wins and fourth at Southeastern Louisiana in winning percentage (.552).[1]
He died in 1989 at his home in Hammond.[2] A road on the Southeastern University campus was dedicated in his honour in 2012.[3]
