This is a list of earthquakes in 1907. Only magnitude 6.0 or greater earthquakes appear on the list. Lower magnitude events are included if they have caused death, injury or damage. Events which occurred in remote areas will be excluded from the list as they wouldn't have generated significant media interest. All dates are listed according to UTC time.

  • Tonga A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Tonga on January 2 at a depth of 0.0 km.[1]
  • Indonesia A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck off the west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia on January 4 at a depth of 15.0 km.[2] A tsunami struck causing 400 deaths.[3][4]
  • Jamaica A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica on January 14 at a depth of 0.0 km. At least 1,000 people were killed and major damage amounting to approximately $30 million (1907 rate) occurred in Kingston.[5]
  • Papua New Guinea A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck south of Umboi Island, Papua New Guinea on February 3 at a depth of 60.0 km.[6]
  • Japan A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck the Bonin Islands, Japan on February 6 at a depth of 400.0 km.[7]
  • Japan A magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck the Sea of Japan on March 26 at a depth of 350.0 km.[8]
  • Indonesia A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the Celebes Sea on March 29 at a depth of 500.0 km. This event was closer to the Indonesian side of the sea.[9]
  • Fiji A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Fiji on March 31 at a depth of 400.0 km.[10]

  • Afghanistan A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan on April 13 at a depth of 260.0 km.[11]
  • Mexico A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Oaxaca, Mexico on April 15 at a depth of 30.0 km.[12] Eight people were killed and many homes were destroyed.[13]
  • Philippines A magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck Luzon, Philippines on April 18 at a depth of 0.0 km.[14] This event struck hours before the following event and can be classed as a doublet earthquake. Two died, a few more were injured and major damage.[15]
  • Philippines A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Luzon, Philippines on April 18 at a depth of 0.0 km.[16] Some additional damage was caused.[17]
  • Japan A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck the Bonin Islands, Japan on May 4 at a depth of 200.0 km.[18]
  • Papua New Guinea A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck the Ninigo Islands, Papua New Guinea on May 7 at a depth of 0.0 km.[19]
  • Russia A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the Sea of Okhotsk on May 25 at a depth of 600.0 km.[20]
  • Philippines An earthquake struck Luzon, Philippines on May 25. The magnitude and depth were unknown. Damage was caused in the area.[21]
  • Ecuador A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Ecuador on June 1 at a depth of 0.0 km.[22]
  • Ecuador A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Ecuador on June 5 at a depth of 0.0 km.[23] This event was further to the west and was possibly triggered by the event on June 1.
  • Chile A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck the Los Rios Region of Chile on June 13 at a depth of 0.0 km.[24]
  • Indonesia A magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck the Molucca Sea on June 25 at a depth of 200.0 km.[25]
  • Kiribati A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Kiribati on June 27 at a depth of 0.0 km.[26] This event was unusual for the area as it occurred far from the plate boundaries where events of this size are normally associated.
